The legendary Toonami-era anime Ronin Warriors (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) is finally getting a sequel! Bandai Namco has revealed Yoroi Shinden Samurai Troopers, a brand-new series set to premiere in January 2026.
🔄 Unlike many modern revivals, this isn’t a remake or direct sequel. Instead, it introduces new characters, including the protagonist Gai (voiced by Hiiro Ishibashi, known for Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens), who will inherit the Yoroi Gear armor to battle the revived demon emperor Arago—this time in present-day Shinjuku.
🎬 The new project is helmed by Shogo Muto (Kamen Rider Build) and directed by Yoichi Fujita (Gintama), both bringing strong tokusatsu and comedic storytelling credentials.
📺 No word yet on international streaming, but we might hear more during Anime Expo 2025 in July!
👀 Fans can also hope for cameos from the original team, though nothing is confirmed yet. One thing’s for sure - Ronin Warriors is back, and it’s ready for a new era.
